We are people who think differently about teacher education. We believe that teacher education must take place in context, with real students and real teachers.

The mission of FreeTeacher U is to provide free special education teacher preparation to individuals with experience in the schools, with the goal of improving outcomes for struggling learners across general and special education systems.

FreeTeacher U is an opportunity for anyone with a Bachelor's degree and experience in schools to obtain teacher licensure in special education for FREE. We are seeking highly motivated individuals with an unwavering commitment to closing the achievement gap.

The philosophy of FreeTeacher U is simple. FreeTeacher U is grounded in research in teacher education, in that quality preparation must include the following elements:
