Portfolio Checklist

You will need to update your portfolio continuously as your progress through the program. It serves as data to demonstrate that you have met all the program requirements, and it will be the foundation for your defense at the end of the year. The portfolio has four main parts: Introduction, Strategy Instruction, Coaching Sesssions, and CEC Standards.

Part I. Introductory Materials

A. Apprenticeship Summary. This is a three-to-five page summary of your accomplishments as an apprentice. Be sure to cover what you have learned from each of the requirements (Parts II through IV). Your summary should have an introduction, body, and conclusion, and should guide your defense. Standard spelling and grammar is expected.

B. Entry Requirements Documentation. Provide documentation that you have met all entry requirements as outlined under "Prospective Apprentices."

C. Exit Requirements Documentation. Provide documentation that you have passed your edTPA.

Part II. Strategic Intervention (S.I.)

Six copies of the Strategic Intervention Form, one for each strategy you implemented (see For Apprentices page), accompanied by supporting student data. Data presented should clearly show how students responded to your intervention (e.g. pre-and post-test scores, progress monitoring data).

Part III. Coaching Sessions

Fifteen copies of the Coaching Form (see For Apprentices page), unless your state has different guidelines for Coaching. In this case, you will be provided instructions separately regarding what needs to be done for this section.

Part IV. CEC Standards

Seven five-page papers, documenting how standards have been met. Assigned readings and activities must be covered (see For Apprentices page for details)
